Apuia Screamer sends Mohun Bagan to the 2nd Consecutive final at home.
Its salvation for the shield champions as they absolutely dominate Jamshedpur on Monday with a 2-0 win and shatter their hopes of the ISL Cup. It was complete domination by the Mariners as they took 35 shots on goal with 10 on target and controlled 74 % of the ball possession which is insane. It appears to be that the unexpected and unjustified events that took place in the 1st leg had triggered an undying spark in the team and they were determined for revenge.
As the oldest football club in India, Mohun Bagan has a rich and storied history.

With a goal down from the 1st leg, the Mariners were desperate to equalise early and this urgency was clearly visible in their gameplay. Liston, Ashique, Macca, Cummings were all taking their chances. Cummings had a great opportunity to score in the 15th minute but his shot went sailing above the bar.
He also took a shot in the very next minute but it also went wide. Alberto almost scored from a corner in the 18th minute but a goal line clearance denied him his chance. Cummings had yet another golden opportunity in the 36th minute but it seemed as if luck was not on his side as the ball went wide by a whisker. Bagan were going all out but the Men of Steel held their ground and denied the Mariners. Thus, it was all square in the 1st half.
Electrifying first half ends in goal less. A BIG second half awaits. Let's keep pushing 💪🏽💚♥️

The 2nd half was started similar to the 1st half with the Mariners on the offensive from the get go and it paid off as Pronay committed a handball from a Cummings corner 5 minutes into the 2nd half. And the Joker made no mistake putting it past Albino completely wrong footing him.

The Mariners were in the lead and the tie score was level. But the Mariners didn’t seemed content and were desperate for the winner. The Mariners tried shot after shot through the likes of Thapa, Subhashis, Cummings, Liston but the goal remained elusive
And just as the fans were preparing for extra time, Apuia stepped up with a banger in the 90+4th minute. A Golazo of the highest quality, thus sealing the deal for the Mariners and breaking the hearts of the Miners. With 35 shots(10 on target) and 74% possession, the Mariners completely dominated the game in all aspects.
