If someone wonders whether Mohun Bagan will be able to play on the wet pitch of JLN Stadium, the answer lies in their previous clash in ISL. It rained cats and dogs that night and the game was delayed by an hour. Despite the harsh conditions where the ball refused to move on the water-logged pitch, the game went on till the final whistle, resulting in 3 points for the Mariners. The solo goal in the match was scored early on by none other than Robson Robinho.
While the Mariners miss out on the services of Dejan Drazic, they have Lallianzuala Chhangte, Miguel and Samir at their disposal. With added options, Mohun Bagan have no excuse but to fight, dominate and hunt the Wolf Pack down!
In Durand Cup, 2026, Mohun Bagan has conceded just one goal in 4 matches. The Alberto-Rahul Bheke Wall survived the initial hurdles but the real challenge lies today. Will they be able to stop NEUFC's lethal attacks?
The team flew in yesterday and got a practice session in Shillong to acclimatize to the altitude and current weather conditions.
SQUAD UPDATE: Lallianzuala Chhangte and Miguel Figueira are registered for the Durand Cup and can debut against NorthEast United FC. Chhangte will wear No. 9 Jersey and Miguel will wear No. 10. Dejan Drazic is unavailable as he didn't travel to Shillong with the rest of the team.
