24' Bose makes a run down left wing to put in a cross into no-man's land. He could have cut it back for Manvir.
22' GOAL Manvir scores a brace. Liston takes a quick throw. Sahal gets to the ball and cuts it back for Manvir, who takes the final shot on his right foot to curl it past two defenders into the net.
19' GOAL Rahul Bheke scores from a header from Drazic's cross from the left wing. He comes up from behind the two defenders in the box and heads it home.
18' Joga Bonito Football from Sahal who juggles the ball and passes to Liston. He drives along the edge of the box and attempts a curler to the 2nd post. Blocked by a defender in time.
17' Both wing spaces are doubled up with Sahal and Liston on the left with occasional Bose coming up as well.Tekcham and Drazic on the right. Thapa and Deepak are focused on the midfield control.
14' Liston sends in a good pass to Manvir who flicks it with power towards the goal. Sunil makes a good save.

12' Thapa's corner found Alberto again but the header went off target this time.
12' What a movement! Created pressure on one side, Thapa breaks open on the other side with outside-of-the-foot pass. Tekcham takes the run and finds Manvir who passes to Drazic on the Right Wing, through the defence. Sahal heads the cross on the 2nd post but it went out for a corner.
10' GOAL Alberto scores from Thapa's corner. A towering header in the box, to double the lead.
8' Forwards are playing together - penetrating straight ahead, fluid gameplay with no hesitation. Manvir and Drazic almost make it work but GK Sunil dives to grab Drazic's cross.

7' SUFC trying to establish control over the game. Tangri blocks the shot from far but the ball rolls out for a corner.
6' Tekcham isn't afraid to run along the right wing all the way to the attacking third in the counter attack. Drazic overlaps to get the pass but a defender comes sliding to clear it for a corner.
4' GOAL Manvir scores for Mohun Bagan! Lots of Mariners in the box come handy as Thapa goes deep to cut it back. Sahal stretches to get to the ball and sets up Manvir in the box. A touch and he slams it into the back of the net!

The first match of the 2026/27 season was the derby and Mohun Bagan won by a solo goal scored by Sahal Abdul Samad. Kolkata is <i>Sabuj-Maroon</i> till the next encounter. As of now, Head Coach Panos has his eyes set on 3 points from today's match and the next, and hence, qualify for the Knockout Stage.

This led to the establishment of residential academy and integrated training grounds at Ulsoor (RBANM's Ground).
