'Jam Ke Pelo' - Mohun Bagan beat Jamshedpur to reach maiden RFDL Final

It was just 3 days ago, when Mohun Bagan seniors beat Jamshedpur 2-0 in a fierce clash, where Jamshedpur were ruled out of the ongoing ISL Cup competition. 



The reserve team was watching the match closely, and, they repeated the same fate for the JFC reserves today, where they registered a emphatic victory over the Jamshedpur club. 

Jamshedpur FC reseves this season were in sublime form and many thought they will win the RFDL this time, but, Mohun Bagan said Not Today. In the Semifinal today morning, Jamshedpur started as the favourites, as they took an early lead.
But, Deggie Cardozo had other plans, where, after being 0-1 down, Mohun Bagan came back like MOHUNBAGAN. From a well drilled corner routine, Sahil Inamdar scored to draw level in the game, and, from then, Mariners didn't look back.

Mohun Bagan's startboy Taison joined the party to give Mohun Bagan the lead. In the dying minutes of the first half, Serto Kom scored and Bagan went 3-1 ahead, and, they were crusing! 

In the second half, Jamshedpur tried, but Mohun Bagan defence became unbreakable, and, Serto scored a worldie to Complete his brace and Give Bagan a cushion of 4-1 lead. Later, local boy Shibam Munda came off the bench and scored a goal to make sure a Five star victory for Bagan brigade over Jamshedpur.

Many Mohun Bagan fans travelled to Jamshedpur in the first leg of the ISL semi finals, where few Mohun Bagan fans were beaten by the stadium security. The senior team promised, they will deliver on the pitch, as they knocked JFC out, and, now, the Junior team followed the same footsteps, as they have registered a signature victory.

This victory means, Mohun Bagan have officially qualified for the PL Next Gen Cup for the second time in last 3 years. The venue for the PL Next Gen Cup is yet to be decided as per sources.

Mohun Bagan have also booked their place in the Final of the Ongoing RFDL Championship, which, they have done for the first time in the club's history. The final is all set to take place on 14th April, 2025 from 6 PM Onwards.

Credits should be given to Deggie Cardozo, who has rebuilt the Mohun Bagan reserves side after a below-par campaign last season; things didn't workout in the CFL, but, post that, Mohun Bagan are well and truly on a roll as the Goanese became the first ever coach in Bagan history to reach the RFDL Final.

History is approaching as Mohun Bagan has the chance to become the first team in Indian Football history to win a ISL Shield, ISL Cup and and the RFDL Championship. Can the Mariners create history? We will know within next few days!
