As the transfer market is opening in a month, the Giants of Indian
football are busy to strengthen their respective teams. The current Indian
champions Mohun Bagan are no different.

exclusively broke the news, Mohun Bagan has already finalised the
signature of Aussie Superstar Jamie Maclaren. Now, as per sources, Mohun
Bagan are eyeing to bolster the Midfield ranks as the club is supposed
to let go midfield duo Glan Martins and Hnamte.

understands, Mohun Bagan were scouting Jeakson Singh for few years now,
but, since 2021, Lalengmawia 'Apuia' Ralte has been the dream for the
Bagan recruiters. Recently, from unverified sources, it has been
reported, Apuia has a secret release clause in his MCFC contract
starting from this season, which can be triggered by any Indian side if
the player agrees to join them.

exclusively revealed, East Bengal FC sent an offer to the player, but,
now, as per MBFT sources, Mohun Bagan have asked Apuia's representatives
for the details for a potential deal. Though, a formal offer is yet to
be submitted. Contrary to reports in multiple local outlets, MBFT
understands, Mohun Bagan are just exploring the possibility in this
market and they have not decided yet.

Bagan saw the emergence of Abhishek Suryavanshi last season and the
management rates the young mumbaikar very highly. Many in the Bagan
fanbase finds similarity between Apuia and Abhishek and many believe
Abhishek has a higher ceiling than the Mizo sensation.
Though
it's debatable, MBFT understands, management are just exploring the
possibilities of this signature, as they believe Apuia and Abhishek can
pair together and solidify the Bagan midfield, and, they are ready to go
with a full Indian Midfield in the domestic circuit if required.
As per multiple sources, Apuia has a release clause in his contract which is around 2.5cr, and, Mohun Bagan feels that's a bargain for a quality player like Apuia.

a club source has informed MBFT, the Apuia signing is just a
possibility, but it's not Imminent at this stage. The management rates
Apuia very highly, and , it's a Dream signing for the Mohun Bagan
thinktank, but, it's not a done deal yet and Bagan faithfuls have to
wait to see how the deal progresses. The management believes Apuia's preference would be staying at Mumbai as he is a regular starter for the Islanders, but, Mohun Bagan can tempt anybody to join them, and only future can tell if Apuia will become a Mariner.
