The Mariners should focus on their strengths: playing quick one-touch passes and launching fast attacks that pose trouble to the weak defence of NorthEast United FC. The pitch will be wet so there will be less opportunity to dribble and move the ball on the ground. Aerial long balls and set pieces must prove effective. Sahal and Samir are capable of taking long-ranger shots from the midfield which might come in clutch in this match.In defence, Samir and Apuia needs to support the backline to deal with Jithin, who is in incredible form with intense pace and accurate crossing ability and Alaaeddine, the current top-scorer in the tournament, who will stop at nothing to send the ball into the back of the net.
