Mohun Bagan Aim for Super Start at Kalinga | Match Preview vs Kerala Blasters

Kalinga turns into a battleground once again as the ISL double holders Mohun Bagan take on the Men in Yellow from Kochi in the quarter finals of the 7th edition of the Kalinga Super Cup on Saturday,26th of April at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Kerala qualified for the quarters through a dominating  2-0 victory over defending champions Emami East Bengal while Bagan got into the last 8 via a walkover as Churchill pulled out at the last minute due to the I-League fiasco and unavailability of players.

Players to watch out for

Nuno Reis: A defender cum defensive midfielder of the highest calibre, this new addition to the Mariners is all in all a complete player. Having played in legendary clubs such as Sporting C.P., Panathinaikos, Metz, Vitoria and others, this 34 year old Portuguese veteran is set to light the tournament on fire.

Noah Sadaoui: A natural winger, Noah has proved his worth time and time again, whether with Goa or with Kerala. The Moroccan talisman scored a jaw-dropping golazo in their previous match. And with 7 goals and 5 assists in 19 ISL matches, this prolific 31 year old will be determined to repeat or even better his performance against the domestic double winners.

The match is expected to be a thriller as both teams would be giving their all and throwing everything at each other.The blasters have all to play for and will leave not stone unturned for that all elusive Asian spot,while Mohun Bagan would be fighting for their prestigious treble.

Though Mohun Bagan go into the match as underdogs having fielded their 2nd team with very few 1st team players and just 1 foreigner, we can never rule the Champions out.
