Ex Villareal boss Igor Tasevski to join Molina's backroom staff, Bastab Roy Promoted to Senior team duties - MBFT.in


MBSG media team today has announced the Coaching team of Jose Francisco Molina.

The press release is as followed: 

"Jose Francisco Molina is coming to India with his chosen coaching team. He himself is a legendary football personality of Spain. The successful coach has also played in the World Cup. He was the sports director of the Spain national football team in the last World Cup. The Mohun Bagan Super Giant head coach Jose Molina is coming to the city on July 28 with his three assistants. 


Molina chose Serbian Igor Tasevski as his assistant coach. Much of his youth football career was spent in Serbia, but most of his playing and coaching career was spent in Spain. He has the experience of coaching several teams like La Liga club Villarreal. A UEFA Pro license holder, Igor himself was a renowned defender. Therefore, his presence in the green-maroon defense organization with Molina will be an added advantage.


Vishal Kaith, Dheeraj Singh will be coached by Francisco Jose Martinez Nion as goalkeeper coach. The goalkeeping coach spent most of his playing and coaching career in Spain. 

Sergio Garcia Toribo has been chosen as the fitness coach. He also has the experience of working in famous La Liga clubs. 

Along with Molina and three foreigners as his assistants, Bastab Roy is being reinstated as the Indian assistant coach. He previously served as Molina's assistant. Bastab Roy will start his work as the deputy of Jose Molina, from the upcoming Durand Cup. Bastab Roy has already joined the practice of the youth team. He recently got his AFC Pro-Licence as well. 


The rest who are with the coaching team were all in the Mohun Bagan Super Giant last season as well. Dr. Nelson Pinto will be the team Doctor. Abhinandan Chatterjee and Kaushik Bhuiyan will be the two physios. Abhishek Bhattacharya will take over as Team Manager. 

Jose Molina will start the pre-season training with the entire team in the morning on the historic Mohun Bagan Day on July 29, 9:00 am. The first team footballers will arrive in city before the coach. Scottish defender Tom Aldred has already arrived in the city on Thursday morning. He will join the reserve team practice before the start of the main practice."
