Mohun Bagan offered new long term contract to Midfield Prodigy, talks begins with Youth Coach


In the ISL league winning Campaign, Mohun Bagan discovered a gem in Abhishekh Suryavanshi. Despite the signings of Anirudh Thapa and Sahal Abdul Samad, Abhishek quickly became a starter under Antonio Lopez Habas, which demonstrates his quality.

Abhishek's current contract is valid till 2025, but, Mohun Bagan management rates him very highly and wants to offer a new deal to the player.

MBFT has been told, the Bagan management are currently negotiating a 3 year extension with the midfielder, with a increase in his salary. 

If everything is agreed, Abhishek is set to sign an extension till 2028 with an option of a further year.


Mohun Bagan management has offered a new deal to the highly rated youngster Amandeep Singh too, who has been offered a 3 year extension, and, MBFT has been told, the negotiations are in advanced stage with the player to sign a deal till 2028.

In another news, as revealed by MBFT on 29 April, 2024 (later confirmed by RaySportz), starboy Dippendu Biswas has signed a 3 year extension with the club.


MBFT has been told, Mohun Bagan are working in the background to restructure the Youth Side of the club. As Clifford Miranda might leave the side, it is expected, Bastab Roy will be promoted to the Senior setup, and, Mohun Bagan has held initial discussions with FC Goa II manager Deggie Cardozo, who is touted as one of the best scouts across the country.

Deggie has previous experience in Working in Kolkata as he was the head coach of ATK (now dissolved) U 18 side. Deggie has discovered gems like Arsh Anwar Shaikh, Fardin Ali Molla and Abhishek Suryavanshi.

MBFT has been told, Mohun Bagan want to sign some local high potential players, and Deggie can be the ideal man for that job.
