A New Dawn | AFC unveiled the new look for its revamped club competitions, which will commence from the 2024/25 season


A significant milestone was marked on Thursday by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) with the unveiling of the new look for its revamped club competitions, which will commence from the 2024/25 season.

The inaugural logo and crest have been launched for the AFC Champions League Two™ (ACL Two) which Mohun Bagan will participate directly in the Group stage. 

Representing a fusion of cultures, traditions and footballing prowess from across vast Asia, the logos/brands celebrate the richness of Asian football and aim to inspire excellence and unity among players and fans.

The AFC President, Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, said: "These landmark revamps reinforce the AFC's ambitions, through its Vision and Mission, to stage world-class competitions for its Member Associations, and we look forward to the thrilling action and exciting talent that will be on show next season"

Announced in December 2022 and with the names confirmed in August 2023, the brand new quartet of Asian club competitions will also see the AFC allocate its biggest investment with clubs from the Participating Member Associations poised to benefit from increases in participation fees, prize money and travel expenses.

The ACL Two will comprise 32 teams, with two divisions East and West. Mohun Bagan will represent India in the West Zone poised with big clubs like Al Ittihad, FC Nasaf, AL Taawon, Al Rayyan and many others. It is going to be an interesting outing for the Indian Club.
