After a convincing Kolkata Derby win over East Bengal FC, Habas' boys will travel to Kochi within no time to take on Kerala Blasters FC to play away from home. This outing against Kerala Blasters will either keep our ISL Shield hopes intact or break them if the results are not in favour.
The team is looking quite impressive match by match and continues to give the fans the joy they have been looking out for months. The great run of Habasball just continues to terrorize opponent teams further.
The talking points remain how the team demolished the East Bengal side like a team, from the stunning penalty save of Vishal Kaith to the clinical finish of Jason Cummings to Liston Colaco's intelligence to Petratos' usual aura. It was the perfect Derby package for the Mariners, it had everything a Mohun Bagan loyalist could ask for. The lads are very pumped up but careful as they are playing away from home.
The Mariners will play their toughest away fixture yet in Kochi as teams like Odisha FC and Mumbai City FC already tasted their share of away losses from this same ground. Playing against Kerala Blasters in their home won't be an easy job. The sheer support, that the KBFC players will get despite their poor form, from the fans, is unbelievable. This brings us to the team itself, kbfc is going through a tough patch as they have lost many key games in the process. With that said, underestimating Kerala Blasters as a team would be a gamble. With coach Ivan Vukomanovic using his dedicated set of players like Diamantakos, Daisuke, Danish, Aimen, Jeakson and ex-Mariner Pritam Kotal, will make it tough to penetrate their goalpost.

Antonio Lopez Habas will finally find his full team with no injuries and suspensions to worry about. As Brendan Hamill is now fully fit to play and Deepak Tangri has served his one-match ban it will be interesting how the mastermind sets up his team for this team. On the other hand, Ivan and his boys are still shaken by the numerous unprecedented injuries with the likes of Midfield maestro Adrian Luna, emerging Goalkeeper Sachin Suresh and Forward Kwame Peprah. These injuries are still hunting the Kerala side and affecting their ISL form all along.

The last meeting among these two teams resulted in a frustrating 1-0 loss to Mohun Bagan which resulted in Juan Ferrando's ultimate sacking. But things have certainly improved for the Green and Maroon. It will be an interesting match to watch as the Crowd favourite Ivan will take on senõr Habas and his in-form Mariners.
