Mohun Bagan's CFL hattrick hero Lalrinliana Hnamte is one of the hottest property in Indian Football, and, as per MBFT sources, the Midfielder is set to move to Kerala Blasters once his current contract expires with Mohun Bagan in May, 2024.
Hnamte was signed from our arch rivals Emami East Bengal FC in 2021, after a breakthrough ISL campaign with the then SC East Bengal. Hnamte's versatile profile caught the eye of Mohun Bagan's recruiters, and everybody rightly thought they have recruited a Future star. But, in a star studded team, it is always difficult to get a chance regularly, and the same thing happened with Hnamte. Primarily a Central Midfielder, coach Juan Ferrando often used Hnamte as his own Camavinga, where Hnamte used to play as a right back.
Hnamte's highlight in the Green and Maroon jersey will be his remarkable hattrick against Tollygunge Agragami in the CFL 23/24 season. The versatile Midfielder is slowly approaching 21, and getting certain minutes of gametimes will be a priority for him.
Recently Bartaman Patrika revealed Hnamte has signed pre contract with Chennaiyin FC, but, as per MBFT sources, the player is tempted with an offer from Kerala Blasters as well and the Kochi based franchise have held talks with him. It looks like, there will also be a southern rivalry for this signature.
However, Mohun Bagan fans will be disheartened to know, the Star boy Kiyan Nassiri Giri is also set to move clubs in the summer, and as revealed by Bartaman earlier, we can confirm, Chennaiyin are in advanced talks with the Mohun Bagan striker.
On the other hand, Mohun Bagan are not staying quiet in the market. The management has almost finalized the contract extension of Dimitri Petratos, and are in talks to offer Vishal Kaith a long term new deal as well. Mohun Bagan are also targeting an Indian attacker in the market and talks are progressing well.

The management has also kept eyes on multiple Foreign no10 + winger (among ISL) in case the player moves clubs.
