Injury has been Mohun Bagan's worst enemy this season and by the looks of it, Coach Antonio Lopez Habas is determined to resolve the problem as soon as possible. In a surprising move, Mohun Bagan have appointed Former Sevilla FC Strength and Conditioning Coach Alberto Liñán as the new Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Mariners for the rest of the season.

Alberto, a household name in ISL, has plenty of experience in this department. When Hyderabad FC's Jose Barroso had to take an emergency leave, Manolo Roca (current FC Goa Coach) appointed this man in the Hyderabad FC ranks and eventually became the ISL Cup Champions. After the HFC stint, Liñán joined Spanish heavyweights Sevilla FC. Then he moved to UAE where he worked as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Al Wahda FC in the UAE Pro League, where the team finished 3rd in the League. Alberto has previously worked with Mohun Bagan's Physiotherapist Abhinandan Chatterjee in Hyderabad FC.
Antonio Lopez Habas brought Linan for his previous experience and the winning mentality, and surely to address the injury crisis the team is facing. Alberto Liñán has a great track record in this field and he is highly prolific for a conditioning coach who is only working in this field for the last five years, and we at MBFT wish him all the best.
