Player Profile
Manvir Singh is a towering Indian professional winger known for his physical dominance, aerial prowess, and versatility. A mainstay for Mohun Bagan SG and the Indian National Team, he is widely regarded as one of the most hardworking forwards in the country.
Early Career & Development
Born in Punjab to former footballer Kuldip Singh, Manvir honed his skills at the Minerva Academy. He made his senior debut with Minerva Punjab before moving to the Kolkata circuit with Mohammedan SC and Southern Samity, where he famously scored the winning goal for West Bengal in the 2017 Santosh Trophy final.
Professional Journey
His top-flight career took off with FC Goa in 2017, where he won the Super Cup (2019) and the inaugural ISL League Winners Shield (2019–20). In 2020, he made a high-profile move to Mohun Bagan for one of the highest transfer fees ever paid for an Indian player.
Breakthrough and Success
At Mohun Bagan, Manvir evolved into a consistent threat, scoring crucial goals in the Kolkata Derby and playoffs. He played a pivotal role in the club's 2022–23 and 2024-25 ISL Cup triumphs, as well as the back-to-back ISL League Shields in 2023–24 and 2024–25.
Playing Style
Standing at 6'2", Manvir utilizes his strength to hold up play and beat defenders in the air. While naturally a center-forward, his pace and stamina allow him to excel as an inverted winger or a wide midfielder who contributes significantly to defensive transitions.
