Early Career & Development
Born on March 7, 1998, in Mumbai, Amey’s footballing journey began at Fr. Agnel Multipurpose School in Vashi. His potential was quickly recognized, leading to his selection for the prestigious AIFF Elite Academy in Goa. He represented India at the U-17 and U-20 levels, gaining valuable international exposure during his formative years.
Professional Journey
Amey’s professional career began with DSK Shivajians, followed by a stint with FC Goa. In 2018, he joined the historic Mohun Bagan, where he helped the club secure the Calcutta Football League title. After a brief return to FC Goa and a spell with Bengaluru United, he made a high-profile move to his hometown club, Mumbai City FC, in 2020.

His tenure at Mumbai City FC was a defining period. Under the guidance of Sergio Lobera, Amey became a regular starter, playing a pivotal role in the club’s historic "Double" (winning both the ISL League Winners Shield and the ISL Trophy) during the 2020-21 season. Despite a serious head injury sustained in the 2021 final, he showed immense grit to return to the pitch, later featuring in the AFC Champions League.
Loan at Odisha FC
In 2023, Amey moved to Odisha FC on loan, reuniting with Sergio Lobera. This move saw him reach new heights, finishing the 2023-24 season with the highest number of assists among defenders in the league. His clinical performances earned him his maiden senior national team call-up for India’s FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in May 2024.
