MBSG Media Team Press Release

Lee Harry Erwin is set to provide a major boost to Mohun Bagan Super Giant's attacking unit, with the Scottish striker scheduled to arrive in the city on Monday night. He will join the team's training sessions from Tuesday. Mohun Bagan Super Giant have signed experienced Scottish striker Lee Erwin on a one-year contract. The 32-year-old, who stands 6ft 2', is primarily a box striker. He has a knack for opening the scoring and is known for his clinical finishing.

Erwin is capable of unsettling even the strongest opposition defences with a combination of power and skill. His height also makes him a potent threat from set-pieces. Erwin joins the Mariners after a stint with Jordanian club Al-Faisaly last season. Having represented Scotland at youth level, he brings with him vast experience from club football across Europe and Asia. Before his spell in Jordan, he featured for several clubs in Scottish League and the English Premier League, while also gaining valuable exposure with prominent teams in Asia. Over the course of his career, Erwin has turned out for well-known clubs such as Motherwell, Leeds United, Bury FC and Tractor FC, among others.

His arrival adds further depth and firepower to head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis' squad as Mohun Bagan continue to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

After signing the contract, here is what Lee Erwin told MBSG Media:

"I will be playing in India for the first time. I had offers from quite a few ISL clubs, but Mohun Bagan is the biggest club in the country, so I accepted their offer and decided to come here. My Scottish friends who have played in India have spoken highly of Mohun Bagan Super Giant's professionalism and philosophy, saying they can match any club in world football. Apart from that, very few clubs can rival Mohun Bagan's success and rich tradition."

"The passion, support and love that the members and supporters have for this club were also among the main reasons behind my decision to wear the Green-and-Maroon jersey. I have been training regularly and hope to settle into the team quickly. I will try to share my experience with my teammates on the pitch and my only goal is to help the team win trophies."
