Mohun Bagan Super Giant sprang a surprise in the transfer market by bringing in Indian football's most dynamic winger, Lallianzuala Chhangte. This top attacking midfielder of the Indian national team is joining the green-and-maroons on a three-year contract. Master at suddenly cutting inside with incredible speed to score and assist goals, Chhangte is known in Indian football as the "Mizo Flash". Chhangte is known by this name because his sprinting speed exceeds 38 kilometers per hour. Wearing the Mumbai City FC jersey over the last four years, besides tearing apart opponents with his pace, he has also scored plenty of goals. In the last ISL, he scored four goals in 13 matches. Overall, Chhangte has played 91 matches for Mumbai and scored 30 goals, winning the League Shield. This indispensable midfielder of the Indian national team has played 55 matches for the country, scoring 9 goals. Today, that dream has become a reality. Although I received offers from other clubs as well, I chose Mohun Bagan because, in terms of legacy and success, it is the biggest club in the country. Its reputation extends beyond India and the club is respected across Asia. Whatever respect and success I have earned throughout my football career, I always felt that my journey would remain incomplete if I did not play for Mohun Bagan in Kolkata. That is why I accepted the offer as soon as it came. I have faced Mohun Bagan Super Giant many times as an opponent and whenever I stepped onto the pitch at Yuba Bharati, I witnessed the incredible passion and unwavering support of the Green-and-Maroon supporters. I have not experienced that level of love and connection at any other club in India."
