The match ended in a goalless draw which was replayed 2 days later on <b>10th August, 1921</b> and Mohun Bagan defeated EBFC 3-0. <b>Rabi Ganguly scored the first derby goal</b>, followed by Poltu Dasgupta and Abhilash Ghosh.
<b>Mohun Bagan is the current reigning Champion of Asia's Oldest Tournament, winning and lifting the Trophies 17 times. </b>In 2023, they defeated Arch Rivals, EBFC in the Final, courtesy of Dimi's Goal which was enough for 10-men Mariners to lift the 17th Trophy in front of the neighbours.
<b>Mohun Bagan has faced EBFC 14 times (including 2 replays) in the Durand Cup Finals</b>, out of which both teams have won 5 each and drew 4. In 1960 (1-1 and 0-0) and 1982 (0-0), both were declared joint winners.
