On this day in 2023, 4 Mariners running their individual fan pages, found themselves sharing the same vision and passion towards their Mother Club, Mohun Bagan. Among the flurry of rainbow colours, two colours: Green and Maroon, stood out and spoke to them! They came together and formed Mohun Bagan Football Twitter, which resulted in the abbreviation, MBFT. They created the fan page, dedicated to Mohun Bagan fans with the sole aim of spreading Mohun Bagan-ism.
In the next three years, what started as a 4-man fan page operation on Twitter expanded to reach multitude of Mariners across multiple social media platforms. Gathering millions of views, MBFT has amassed consistent fan following of 14.3K Subs on YouTube, 15.1K on Instagram, 14.2K on Facebook, 1.1K on Telegram, 3.6K on X, 2.1K on Whatsapp and 1.5K on threads. In addition to social media platforms, MBFT has the most-detailed and updated website on Mohun Bagan, with regular match articles, press releases, transfer articles, player statistics and so much more. Over the years, many things have changed but the aim of spreading Mohun Bagan-ism has only grown stronger.

The most detailed and well-designed website of Mohun Bagan is 'mbft.in'. Its user-friendly setup of information-laden content attracts thousands of viewers daily. It is where MBFT Live Coverage is conducted besides being a home for all the articles, player profiles, match details, historic stats and so much more. The entire project is mainly handled by Arijit, Aryaan, Anik and Probudhya with the occasional support from other members. MBFT maintains the detailed statistics of the U-14, U-16, U-18, Reserves, Current Senior Squad in Football, matches and statistics of Men's Cricket, Women's Cricket and Hockey. We have the most detailed 'Trophy Cabinet' that is constantly updated. We have a massive author's team including Sagnik, Rounak, Ritam, Shinjan, Sreyas, Satyaki, Rishav, Richik, Probudhya, Aryaan, Arindam, Arijit, Annubrata and Anik.MBFT YouTube headed by Probudhya, has delivered Exclusive Transfer News (Cummings, Robson, Maclaren, Alberto, Miguel, Apuia, Mehtab etc.), Transfer Secrets, Match Discussions, Podcasts with Kibu Vicuna and Tanumoy Basu and legacy tribute videos series 'Why Mohun Bagan'. Sayan, Sayak, Ritik, Probudhya, Riddha, Rishav and Annubrata have been the main team members who were involved in this department and have resulted in reaching massive 14.3K Subscribers. Chirantan and Shyam are involved in video editing and YT shorts.
MBFT Telegram group is called Mariner Talks: Spreading Mohun Bagan-ism, where Mohun Bagan-related discussions take place all day and night. Often, Voice Conferences are conducted in the channel and MBFT Team members are active to answer all sorts of questions that pop up in the minds of the curious. It is managed by our Telegram Admins - Kaustav, Ranan, Sayan, Riddha, Bikash, Diganta, Toton and Ajoy.
One this day, we must revisit where it all started! As Twitter became X, MBFT became Mariners Beyond Field Talks. With 3.6K followers on X, this is where all kinds of Mohun-Bagan centric content are shared.
MBFT Whatsapp, MBFT Facebook, MBFT Instagram are social media platforms where all the meticulously curated content is presented for all Mariners to see.
Apart from our online presence, MBFT covers important events and matchdays of Mohun Bagan and National Football. Alternate content is usually posted through our separate organisation, SportsTalk Media.

The TEAM behind MBFT
In MBFT, the goal was never to reach milestones and increase fan following. Whatever we did over the years, came directly from the heart. We love Mohun Bagan and that undying love has given us the strength to walk in this direction. We prioritize quality over quantity. We chose authenticity and integrity over easier options. The milestones are stepping stones for us for the long-vision that we wish to see through. Our goal has always been to deliver to the Mariners and share the rich legacy, culture and beauty of the club with the rest of the world. We have come a long way since then, and we're just getting started!What began as a 4-man initiative has transformed into a massive team of passionate Mohun Bagan fans, a close-knit group who actively work together behind the scenes as well as in front, to deliver authentic news and the best content to the Mariners.
Amongst the 4 founding members, 2 are currently active with MBFT. One of them hardly requires any introduction - Probudhya Guchait. He is Mr. MBFT. As the Head of YouTube, he delivers meaningful and authentic content first-hand, influencing and enriching the minds of many. As the Co-Founder and Core Member, he plays a key role in overall MBFT operations.
The Man, The Myth, The Legend. Arijit Bhattacharjee, the Co-Founder and Core Member, prefers to work in silence and let his success do the talking. Apart from leading the entire Social Media department, he's developing the MBFT website and he coordinates and manages all kinds of MBFT operations.
The rest of the two founding members, Joydeep Samanta and Ratul Sharma, have left the organisation last year due to their personal and professional obligations.
Moving on, next on the team is Anik Nandi. As the Core Member, he is the editorial head, lead of the Author’s Department, Journalist and Reporter of MBFT. He covers the Live Coverage of matches, and every article that is published goes through him for proofreading and final touches.
Speaking of reporting, we must mention Riddha Chakraborty. Our beloved ‘boro’ reporter is the president of MBFT, without whom MBFT Live Sessions are incomplete!
Known for his critical analysis, Arindam Chatterjee, is a core member who has been seen on multiple MBFT Live Sessions. His critical thoughts in Pre, Post Match Analysis and bold predictions have proven to be quite intriguing and invaluable!
Rishav Ray, the author of ‘A Game of Two Halves: The Story of the Golden Era of Indian Club Football’, is MBFT's go-to guy for historical facts, info and stories that define the rich legacy of Mohun Bagan.
MBFT’s versatile core member, Annubrata Roy, delivers in various departments with his wide set of skills, while also taking care of on-the-ground requisites. He is the Operations Head as well as a Core Member of MBFT.
In the 19th and 20th century, lack of an internet and transport often posed a hurdle in gathering accurate information. In the 21st century, newer issues like too much information, needs to be filtered out to present the accurate info without any discrepancies. To gather stats from the past as well as preserve the present, MBFT has its very own statistician, Aryaan Banerjee. As core member, he manages crucial data and stats that are meant to be passed down generations into the future.
