Footballer Samir Zeljkovic, who has played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, will now play in the Green-and-Maroon jersey. He delivered an outstanding performance for Punjab FC in the recently concluded Indian Super League. Although primarily a central defensive midfielder, Samir can also play in the stopper position.
One of the main reasons for signing him to Mohun Bagan Super Giant's star-studded squad is his experience of playing seamlessly in both positions. The six-foot-tall, 28-year-old Samir is also adept at making sudden forward runs to assist the attacking line. Whenever he has played in the Bosnian Premier League or the league in Uzbekistan, he has consistently scored and assisted goals. In the recently concluded national league, Samir not only scored two goals but also provided three assists.
After signing a two-year contract with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Samir Zeljkovic told MBSG Media, "Ever since I came to play in India, I have heard about the consistent success of Mohun Bagan Super Giant. Playing at the Yuba Bharati in the ISL wearing the opposing team's jersey, I have witnessed the passion and love the Mohun Bagan members and supporters have for the club.
