This GameWeek has been full of ups and downs. We got to witness the most number of matches with late-minute goals, most of which changed the underlying result.

Punjab FC faced MDSC and secured 3 points after scoring two goals in the early 2nd Half inspite of conceding one in the former Half. Jamshedpur FC had a field day as they drew at home against both Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC with single goals coming from golden subs that shined in the dying minutes. But all is not lost for MCFC who were victorious with 1-0 scoreline against Odisha FC at home earlier this week. They remain the only unbeaten team this ISL season after FC Goa faced defeat in the hands of Bengaluru FC where Sunil Chhetri opened the account early on and Bhutia sealed it in the end. BFC could have made it 3-0 had they been awarded a penalty from a handball inside the box which blocked Suresh's shot on target, but it was ultimately not given by the referee.Alfred Planas scored a brace for Inter Kashi to win 2-1 against Chennaiyin FC where Daniel's late goal couldn't change the result. SC Delhi wins a game at home as they defeat 10-man KBFC, where ex-Blaster player, Aimen, scored the first goal and Matija scored at 90+7' to win 2-0 against the Yellow Army.
Table-wise Mumbai City FC sits at the top comfortably with 18 points, followed by JFC with 15 points from 8 matches. Mohun Bagan is currently 3rd with 14 points and Bengaluru trails behind with same points. 4th and 5th places are taken by EBFC and PFC, both of whom have 11 points from just 6 matches. FC Goa stays at 7th slot with 10 points following their defeat this week.
Inter Kashi stands in 8th position with 8 points from 7 matches and NEUFC in 9th with 6 points from 6 matches. 10th, 11th and 12th places are occupied by Odisha FC, Chennaiyin FC and SC Delhi respectively with 5 points each from 5, 6 and 6 matches played respectively. Lastly, KBFC comes 13rd with just 1 point from 7 played games and MDSC is yet to register a point in ISL 2025/26 from 6 games.

Nora Fernandes of SC Delhi has kept a strong hand at goal, making 6 total saves against Kerala Blasters.Alex Saji of SC Delhi has also played well in defense where he made 6 defensive contributions, 3 clearances and 4 recoveries for his team. Naorem Roshan Singh of BFC has risen in ranks and performance in the recent matches, making 13 defensive contributions, 4 successful tackles, 6 ground duels and 2 aerial duels that kept a clean sheet for BFC. Narendra Gahlot of Inter Kashi did a great job, making 100 % successful tackles, 10 defensive contributions and 7 clearances. Tekcham Abhishek Singh of Mohun Bagan shined on the right wing despite his unfortunate positioning in the last minute that led them to concede a goal. He delivered 1 key pass and dribbled through players a couple of times. He made 7 defensive contributions, and stood as a hindrance to Sanan who couldn't do much from the left wing.
Joni Kauko of Mumbai City FC was the man in the midfield for making interceptions. He recovered the ball plenty of times, making 6 and 11 defensive contributions against Odisha FC and Jamshedpur FC and 3 interceptions in both matches. Lamgoulen Gou Hangshing of SC Delhi was all over the right flank. Apart from making 9 defensive contributions, he gave 2 key passes and 1 assist, played 35 passes, took 1 shot and did a total of 31 carries with a total aggregate progression of 99 metres. Samir Zeljković of Punjab FC gave 35 accurate passes and 4 accurate long balls as Central Attacking Midfield and provided an assist for a goal. His dribbling skills troubled MDSC at times as he bravely pushed the ball ahead throughout the midfield and connected with his team. Liston Colaco of Mohun Bagan scored a goal of the season contender from midfield as his shot swerved through the air to dip and hit the inside of right top corner of the goalpost and go inside. He made 16 carries and registered total progression of 86 metres. He gave 24 accurate passes and had 3 shots on target, one of which awarded Mohun Bagan with 1 point from the game.
Strikers aren't supposed to take too many touches and Sunil Chhetri proved exactly that. He scored with a fascinating finish at 3' after his pass rebounded off a defender and gave BFC the first lead in the game against FC Goa. Alfred Planas, on the other hand, scored a brace for Inter Kashi. The first goal was well-slotted by right foot and the second goal came through after he dribbled into the box, held his composure and got the final touch on the ball past the defender to score. His solo performance in attack gave Inter Kashi their second win of the season. Coach of GameWeek 7 award goes to Owen Coyle for his balanced tactics, midfield dominance, defensive orientation and timely substitutions that turned two crucial matches from potential losses to resultant gain of 2 points in the name of Jamshedpur FC.

The blockbuster match will be Mohun Bagan vs Punjab FC at VYBK on Sunday where Mohun Bagan will look to get 3 points to stay in the title race and Punjab FC will reach their potential 14 point mark from 7 games if they manage to win it.
