Some of the Mohun Bagan fans fondly call him, "“উড়ন্ত বাজপাখি". Some say, "Our Flying Kite". When he is under the goal, Mohun Bagan gets extra confidence, extra energy before going into the tiebreaker. Dimi Petratos to Jason Cummings, Subhashis Bose to Liston Colaco, all at once admit, "Having the big Kaith under the three sticks gives us a boost to go for the win." The Super Giant Kaith has already won a pair of golden gloves in the ISL and the Durand Cup with Mohun Bagan. After signing the extension, he became emotional and said, "I want to play in Mohun Bagan forever. The love and passion of the green maroon fans are so precious to me that I would never dream of leaving this club despite offers coming from many other clubs. That's why I signed such a long contract." One of the best goalkeepers in the country has extended his contract for another four years (until 2029) for his commitment to the club, passion for the jersey, and excellent performances.
Hailing from Himachal Pradesh's Rohru district, Vishal once played wicketkeeper and goalkeeper in a sports school. Later he chose goalkeeping. One of the best goalkeepers in the country was saying, "Playing in the neighborhood and school as a wicketkeeper is now useful for me. If you are successful in the small ball, it is easy to get success in the big ball." Vishal's greatest qualities are his eagerness to learn, hard work, and discipline, say the coaches. He has not taken a single day of leave from practice in the last year and a half. He comes to the dressing room before the reporting time. He never gets tired of hard practice. Despite getting a big head injury, he did not leave the field for the needs of the team(Against OFC, ISL 22-23). "A goalkeeper's life is strange. One mistake or one success can be the end and up of a career. Ninety minutes, they have no chance to rest. Always be prepared. Be alert. Keep that in mind. Prepare yourself that way. There's no substitute for hard work. And I think it's the job of the striker to score a goal, as well as the job of a goalkeeper is to save it" He said. Adyant team man Vishal feels, "Winning or losing depends on the team game. The team is everything. The goalkeeper is a part of the team". Despite saving one tiebreaker after another, he feels he still has a lot to learn." Says, "I still have flaws in many places. I am trying to make them more correct by practicing every day." His favorite goalkeeper in the world is Manchester City's current goalkeeper Brazilian Ederson. His idol in India is Subrata Pal. Vishal was saying, "This time we have a team that can win ISL and Super Cup. We are much stronger this time than last time. We have to play with the best club in Asia in ACL-2. Keeping goals intact is also a big challenge."
