EXCL: Dimitri Petratos is set to sign new deal with Mohun Bagan, final talks ongoing with Vishal Kaith, Joni Kauko Update, Bagan scouting Sanan.

As Exclusively revealed last year on MBFT (via MohunBagan_Fan twitter), Mohun Bagan has finally secured the contract extension with two of Bagan's fan favourites Dimi Petratos, also known as DimiGod to Mohun Bagan faithfulls, and, the Viking Joni Kauko.

Bagan's demigod Dimitri Petratos has been offered a new deal at the club.

MBFT reported last year in June, that a long term contract till '26 is being offered to Dimi Petratos, and, as already revealed, Dimitri has agreed to the extension.

Dimitri DimiGOD Petratos is set to stay till 2026; also option of a Further year is included in the deal.

Recently, before the Kolkata Derby, the Emami East Bengal management contacted Dimitri's entourage for a possible transfer in summer, only to get rejected. Few days later, Dimi provided a Masterclass performance in the Derby, scoring 1 and creating 2 goals; followed by the iconic Sten Gun celebration.

MBFT understands Dimitri is penning a 2+1 year deal with the club, making sure to keeping the Aussie star atleast for next 2 years.

As we revealed earlier, Mohun Bagan has offered a new deal to Vishal Kaith too, making him 'Quiet deservingly ' the highest paid Indian Goalkeeper. Talks are ongoing with the Super Kaith, and, if everything is agreed, Kaith is set to Pen a new deal once ISL is over, which will keep him at the club till 2029.

Also revealed by MBFT last year in October, Mohun Bagan is planning to provide a new contract to Joni Kauko, if he passes the fitness test. And, Joni has surprised everyone since coming back, controlling the Midfield and creating havoc in the opponents defence with his through balls.

Joni is very dear to Mohun Bagan SG chairman Sanjeev Goenka, and the management doesn't want to loose out on him so soon. 

But this extension will depend on so many things, so we have to keep our eyes open, to see, what happens next. 

In another news, as Bartaman exclusively revealed, and we confirmed, Mohun Bagan star Kiyan Nassiri Giri is in advanced talks with Chennaiyin FC.

Mohun Bagan, currently fighting for the shield, are keeping tabs on multiple foreigners too. If sources are to be believed a big name Asian Striker is on the radar of the club. They are exploring the foreign centre back market too.

Mohun Bagan are keeping tabs on multiple wingers if in case Kiyan leaves, and Jamshedpur FC's breakout star Sanan Mohammed K has impressed Bagan's scouting department. Sanan has a contract at JFC till '26, and the deal seems difficult. But if Mohun Bagan management wants, every deal is possible.
