Following a comfortable home game win after nearly four months, Mohun Bagan will travel to Margao to play one of the hottest and toughest defensive teams to crack in this season's ISL, FC Goa.
After quite a long time, the team has regained confidence after keeping a clean sheet and a solid three points in an ISL fixture. Antonio Lopez Habas is in no mood to waste crucial points as the ISL shield is at stake as they are in front of the title contenders. The Mariners will go all in for this title-deciding clash of this season. FC Goa has yet to taste a loss with their incredible defensive stature and Manolo Marquez's brilliance. It is going to be an interesting battle between the two great minds like Habas and Manolo to go head to head.

Habas's major personnel change has been the replacement of Hugo Boumous in place of Joni Kauko with some foreseen controversy, yet Joni Kauko has displayed a good performance so far in the last Hyderabad match but the real test is still yet to come in the form of FC Goa. Habas can miss Ashish Rai in the first half due to his injury and the medical team will not rush things to make him play over 90 minutes. Whereas, Hamill is already out & Anwar Ali might not travel with the team for precaution. The good news for Habas's boys is Armando Sadiku will be available after a single-match suspension, this would be an immense help for the team as Sadiku is in great form and he will make sure to break the FC Goa defence. Liston Colaco & Deepak Tangri will also be back. On the other hand, FC Goa will miss their experienced wall Sandesh Jhingan as he received a season-long injury he received in the AFC Asian Cup & Borja for suspension (4 yellow card).

The last fixture between these two teams was a humiliating night to remember for the Mariners as they lost 4-1 to FC Goa which also after a week cost former Mohun Bagan manager Juan Ferrando's job to end his stint at Mohun Bagan. But now things are different and Habas's boys are now filled with confidence and determination to win the ISL Shield and will give a tough time to Manolo's men.
PREDICTION:
Mohun Bagan SG 2-1 FC Goa
Mohun Bagan will now regain some key forward players they lost in their last ISL outing and the return of Joni Kauko will regain both playmaking and goal contribution can be lethal for the FC Goa defence. On the other hand, don't expect a high-scoring game as Goa is outstanding with the defence they lack in the forward division.
