Prior to joining MOHUN BAGAN, he played for central coast mariners in the A-League where he scored 30 goals and assisted 12 in just 49 games for them, the stats surely shows the ruthlessness, Cummings possesses in front of goal. Cummings is mostly known for his positional awareness and the ability to finish with both feet as well as with his head. Cummings, alongside goal-scoring ability also possesses some creativity which helps his teammates to get on the scoresheet. He is also an expert penalty taker with 100% conversion rate for the Central Coast Mariners. His playstyle and ball holding capability is perfect match for Head Coach, Juan Ferrando's playstyle. With a long and grueling season ahead, he and Armando Sadiku are expected to be in the starting 11 in rotation with each other. Though, he may get the nod in the AFC Cup for his available Asian Quota factor. When goals will be of desperate need, Ferrando might opt to use both Armando Sadiku and Petratos alongside Cummings to get the desired result out of the match. Jason is the kind of striker who can thrive under pressure and quality ball suppliers like Thapa, Samad, Petratos , Boumous, he will have many chances to show his worth and possibly getting the best season of his career. known for his physicality though, he might be coupled up with Sadiku and Petratos to perfectly compliment each other's playstyle.
