"Both teams have the same goal, It's like a Final" says Juan

Mohun Bagan will be playing against Dhaka Abahani tomorrow in the AFC Cup Preliminary Round 2.2 at Salt Lake Stadium to secure their place in the AFC Cup Group Stage. Before this crucial clash against the Bangladeshi side, Juan Ferrando along with Liston Colaco attended the Pre Match Press Conference and they are well aware of the challenges Mohun Bagan have to face tomorrow.

JUAN ON THE OPPONENT :

"The opponent needs to be respected because it's a good team, they have good players in their team so it's not an easy match tomorrow. Both teams have the same goal to be in the group stage so it's necessary to keep our focus because tomorrow it's like a final."

PREVIOUS CLASH WITH DHAKA ABAHANI :

After being asked about the previous match against Dhaka Abahani Juan Ferrando said " The last time we played against them was different from the situation of this season. I know we played against them last May or April but now it's totally different and we need to think for tomorrow as it's like a final."

JUAN AFTER BEING ASKED ABOUT OPPONENT PLAYERS :

"They have nine foreign players, they can use six of them, it's not in my hand. It's important to use my energy on my players and the squad. Most importantly my team and players will be ready for tomorrow and I will try to find the best line-up and try to find the best substitutions for the best moments of the match."

JUAN ON DIFFICULTIES WITH THE MOHUN BAGAN SQUAD :

"When he was asked to talk about the balance in his squad coach Juan Ferrando claims, " It's difficult to talk about the balance because it's difficult as some players are in Calcutta League and some are in Durand Cup and AFC Cup so now we are thinking to win the next match and then focus on Durand cup and AFC Cup after that we have to prepare for the further season."

JUAN ON THE PERFORMANCE OF MOHUN BAGAN :

"It's not like we are completely happy there are so many things to improve, we need to improve on a lot of details, and sometimes it's not possible to do in the training as we have a lot of matches in a short time. And after this AFC Cup match some of the players joining the national team so it needs to improve in a short time as all of the matches are very important."

JUAN ON INJURED PLAYERS :

"Their conditions are improving and it is not easy to be fit in a few weeks but our attention is to help by training as this season has a risk of injuries."

Liston Colaco, who joined the press conference with Juan was asked about his performance. Liston says, " After this pre-season, I'm doing quite well and I know last season was difficult to me. Now the most important thing is to work hard and get back the form and Durand Cup is a good platform to show. I'm happy with the pre-season so I hope to continue this throughout the season."
